With two more hits yesterday, Merloni extended his hit streak to eight games, the Bisons longest of 2006. Since April 11, he has hit .485 (16-33) with four doubles, a home run, five RBI and four runs scored.

ROUNDING THIRD: Outfielder Jason Cooper scored two more times yesterday and has now dented home plate nine times this homestand. His 12 runs scored on the season are tied for 2nd in the International League.

RUN PRODUCERS: The Bisons have two of the top run producers in the International League. Ryan Garko is tied atop the IL with 15RBI, while Jason Dubois is 4th in the league with 13RBI. Dubois drove in a pair of runs yesterday and has driven in at least one teammate in each of his last four games (7 total RBI).

A 300 SCORE: A 300 is not just good in bowling. The Bisons enter today's game with a .300 team batting average and a 3.00 team ERA. The batting average, which has been helped by the team's .336 average on the currently homestand, is 21 points better than any team in the International League (Durham, .279). Buffalo's 3.00ERA ranks 5th in the IL.

ROSTER MOVE: The Cleveland Indians have recalled pitcher Brian Slocum today. Slocum was 0-0 with a 1.93ERA and one save in 9.1 innings of work for Buffalo this season. He is currently second on the Herd roster with 11 strikeouts. He will help fill the void left by the Tribe placing reliever Rafael Betancourt on the 15-day disabled list.

GET ON THE BOARD: The Bisons are 9-3 when the score first and 0-3 when their opponents put up the game's first run.
