Buffalo, NY - Jake Dittler threw six strong innings as the Buffalo Bisons blanked the Braves, 7-0, on Friday in Buffalo. Dittler (1-3) gave up four hits, walked one and struck out one as Buffalo (10-6) won its third straight game. The right-hander had struggled in his previous three appearances, giving up 14 runs -- 10 earned -- on 16 hits in 12 innings.

Rob Bell gave up one hit and struck out two in two innings and Felix Heredia allowed a hit in the ninth after allowing three runs and five hits in his previous two outings.

Jake Gautreau gave the Bisons a 3-0 lead in the second with a three-run homer. Jose Flores hit a two-run single in the third to push the Bulls' lead to 6-0 and Andy Marte added a sacrifice fly in the fourth. Marte went 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored as Buffalo completed a 6-2 homestand.

Richmond starter Anthony Lerew (0-2) lasted only four innings, allowing seven runs -- six earned -- on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts as his ERA climbed to 11.74. Richmond (4-12) has lost three straight and nine of its last 10 games.

Richmond hosts Norfolk at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, while Buffalo travels to Pawtucket for a two-game series beginning at 6:05 p.m. --Story courtesy of Chip Haunss/MLB.com
