Today's Game:

The Buffalo Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in a doubleheader to begin a four-game series from Coca-Cola Park (Game 1: 5:35 p.m.). The teams will play two because last night's series opener was rained out. The Bisons are coming off a four-game sweep of the Chiefs in Syracuse and are now 5-1 on the road this season.

Bisons vs. IronPigs

The Bisons were 8-7 against the IronPigs last season, including a 4-3 record at Coca-Cola Park. With a win tonight, Buffalo can even up the all-time series with Lehigh Valley (39-40).

Bush is Back

RHP DAVE BUSH gets the start in game one. The veteran won his Bisons debut last Sunday in Buffalo by allowing just an unearned run in five innings. Bush opened the 2012 season with Lehigh Valley and was 4-3 with a 3.16 ERA in 11 starts for the IronPigs (62.2 IP, 37 SO).

Vargas

RHP CLAUDIO VARGAS will pitch game two. Vargas is 9th in the International League with a 1.64 ERA. He gave the Herd its best start this season, allowing just one run over seven innings of a 6-1 win over Syracuse last Monday.

What Brown does for us

With Thursday's win, MARTY BROWN tied Terry Collins (246) for the 2nd-most managerial wins in the modern era. Brown now trails only Brian Graham (253) as Buffalo's winningest manager since 1985.

To Play or Not to Play

The Bisons have played on just 10 separated days this year, completing doubleheaders on April 14 and April 17. Meanwhile, Buffalo has endured six rainouts, a game that started with a 90-minute rain delay and another that was called after five innings because of weather.

Hitting Shoes

The Bisons now have a team batting average of .333. The mark is 25 points better than any club in affiliated baseball (Double-A Bowie, .308). INF JIM NEGRYCH'S .515 average leads the International League and is shy of only Sacramento's Stephen Vogt (.521) for the best in baseball. OF MOISES SIERRA (7th -.395) and C JOSH THOLE (9th -.393) also rank in the Top 10 in the International League.

Toronto (7-10) fell to the Yankees by a 9-4 score last night. OF JOSE BAUTISTA and C J.P. ARENCIBIA each homered for the Blue Jays. RHP BRANDON MORROW took the loss. Toronto hosts the Yankees at the Rogers Centre again today at 1:07 p.m.
