Today's Game

This afternoon, the Bisons host the Norfolk Tides in the finale of a four-game series from Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The Bisons will look for the series split today thanks to last night's 2-1 victory. Starting Friday, the Herd will host the Louisville Bats for the start of a three-game series.

vs. the Tides

The Bisons are 1-2 against the Tides this season. There has only been seven combined runs scored by the two teams in the three games this season. The teams will meet again in Harbor Park, May 8-10, to close out the season-series matchup for 2015.

Todd Redmond

RHP TODD REDMOND makes his 2015 Bisons' debut today. The righty was designated for assignment by Toronto on April 16 after a pair of relief appearances for the Blue Jays. Redmond last pitched for the Bisons in 2013 when he was 3-1 with a 5.06 ERA in five games and one relief appearance (26.2 IP, 5 BB, 29 SO).

Ezequiel Carrera

OF EZEQUIEL CARRERA has 15 hits in his last 33 at-bats, good for a .455 batting average over his last eight games. Carrera has back-to-back two-hit games and leads the Bisons with eight multi-hit efforts this year. Carrera has scored 12 runs in his last 14 games.

Munenori Kawasaki

INF MUNENORI KAWASAKI has reached base in 12 straight games, the longest active streak in the International League. Since April 16, the infielder has hit .342 (13-38) with four doubles, six RBI and a .444 on-base pct. Kawasaki has also scored six runs during the streak.

Pitching Notes

Bisons starters now have nine quality starts in 20 outings this season...Herd relievers are a combined 5-2 with a 1.55 ERA with only 42 hits allowed in 64.0 innings...Buffalo leads the league with a 2.06 ERA that is 59 points than any other club.

Bisons Bits

INF CHRIS COLABELLO leads the IL in home runs (5) and RBI (15)...INF MATT HAGUE'S .354 batting average is 6th best in the league...INF ANDY BURNS has averaged .325 (13-40) with a .372 on-base pct. in his first 10 career games at the Triple-A level.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (10-12) lost 4-1 to the Red Sox from Fenway on Wednesday. Former Bison RHP R.A. Dickey fell to 0-3 after allowing four runs in seven innings of work. Toronto had just three hits in the loss. The Blue Jays roadtrip continues tonight in Cleveland with a 7:10 p.m. first pitch.
