TODAY'S GAME: This afternoon, the Buffalo Bisons face the Norfolk Tides in the final game of a four-game series from Harbor Park (12:15 p.m.). The Herd needs a win today to split the four-game series in Virginia. Tomorrow, the Bisons open up a four-game series against the Durham Bulls. Buffalo is 19-18 as the road team this season.

vs. TIDES: Today's game is the final meeting between the Bisons and the Tides this season. Norfolk will be the third team Buffalo has already completed their season-series with. The Herd went 6-2 against Gwinnett this year and 5-3 vs. the Clippers. After splitting four games in Buffalo, June 9-12, the Bisons need a win today to split the season series with the Tides.

FAMILIA: RHP JEURYS FAMILIA will match RHP Matt Harvey with his team-high 15th start of the season today. The righty is coming off a four-inning no-decision against Pawtucket on June 16. In that outing, Familia allowed three runs on five hits. Familia has allowed more than three earned runs in just one of his last 11 starts and is 4-1 with a 2.88ERA in seven road starts this year.

TEJADA: INF RUBEN TEJADA returned to the Bisons last night to resume his MLB injury rehab assignment. Tejada played two games with the Herd June 4-5 before re-aggravating the right quad strain that landed him on the Mets disabled list on May 27. The infielder hit .305 (32-105) with 10 doubles and eight RBI in 27 games with the Mets this season.

THE HAMPSONS: LHP JUSTIN HAMPSON has made six consecutive scoreless appearances out of the Bisons bullpen. During the 8.1-inning stretch, the southpaw has allowed just three hits while striking out 11. Left-handed hitters are averaging just .184 (9-49) off Hampson this season.

BISONS BITS: RHP FERNANDO CABRERA is a perfect 15-for-15 in save chances this season and has two more saves than any other pitcher in the IL...INF RONNY CEDENO has hit in five of his six games since joining the Bisons on an MLB injury rehab assignment...With 44 stolen bases as a team, the 2012 Bisons are just eight steals away from last season's total of 52.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (38-32) completed a three-game sweep of the Orioles with a 4-3 win last night. Former Bisons RHP DILLON GEE struck out nine over 7.1 innings of work to improve to 5-5. INF DAVID WRIGHT had three hits in support. The Mets are off today before hosting the Yankees tomorrow night.
