Today's Game:

The Buffalo Bisons take on the Louisville Bats in the third game of a four-game series from Louisville Slugger Field (2:05 p.m.). The Herd leads the series 2-0 thanks to a combined eight home runs in victories of 7-5 and 10-7. On Tuesday, the Bisons will continue their roadtrip with the start of a four-game series in Indianapolis.

Road Sweet Road

The Bisons are 13-3 away from Coca-Cola Field this season, good for a .813 winning percentage. The Herd has not had a winning road record in a season since going 42-31 during their 2004 IL Champion campaign. Buffalo has finished with a road record 10-games over the .500 mark only three times in the modern era (also 1996: 41-31, 2001: 44-28).

vs. the Bats

The Bisons are 4-2 against the Bats this year and can earn the season-series win with a victory today. The last time Buffalo won a four-game series in Louisville was 2008 (3-1). Since returning to the IL in 1998, the Bisons hold the 68-58 (.540) edge on the Bats.

Germano on the Hill

RHP JUSTIN GERMANO makes his sixth start of the season today. The righty has fared much better on the road in 2013, going 2-0 with a 3.65 ERA in two starts away from Coca-Cola Field. He tossed a season-high 7.0 innings (2 ER) to win his last road start, April 22 in Lehigh Valley.

Jim Negrych

INF JIM NEGRYCH has the Bisons' second 10-game hit streak of the season (Jimenez). Since May 2, Negrych has averaged .439 (18-41) with six multi-hit performances. His .433 leads all hitters in professional baseball and he is getting on base better than twice a game (45 hits, 12 walks, 27 games). Negrych's .487 on-base pct. leads all IL hitters.

Homering Herd

The Bisons hit five home runs in a game last night, the second time they've accomplished the feat this year (4/18 at Syracuse). Buffalo's 42 home runs lead the league. The last time the Herd averaged 1.24 homers/game was 2005 when they slugged 179 out. That team finished 2nd in the IL in long balls (Durham, 198).

Bisons Bits

The Bisons lead the league with a .297 average. That's the same team average Marty Brown's 2004 IL Championship squad had...RHP CLINT EVERTS has been activated off the disabled list...All five of INF ANDY LaROCHE's home runs have come on the road this season.

The Blue Jays (14-24) defeated the Red Sox, 3-2, at Fenway yesterday. INF ADAM LIND had three hits including his second home run of the season. Toronto and Boston are back at it at 1:35 p.m. today.
