Buffalo Bisons News Release
The Buffalo Bisons will be holding the finals of the BlueCross/BlueShield Pitch, Hit and Run competition Friday, August 13, at Dunn Tire Park starting at 9:00 a.m. (until about 11:30 p.m.) The winners of today's event will be honored with pre game ceremony (5:30 p.m.) prior to tonight's Bisons/Lynx doubleheader starting at 6:05 p.m.
Today's finalists were brought together from pitch, hit and run competitions that the Bisons held at 20 Western New York parks from July 26-August 6. At each park, the top three children from each age group, 7-12 years old, were selected to take part in today's finals. Boys and Girls are competing in different groups.
The free competition tests the ability to throw into a target, hit off a tee and run the bases.
