Today's Game

This afternoon, the Bisons take on the Columbus Clippers in the final game of a three-game series that also ends a seven-day homestand. After an off day tomorrow, he Herd will hit the road for a six-game road trip to Charlotte and Durham. Buffalo then returns to Sahlen Field for a brief two-game series against their foes up the 90, the Rochester Red Wings.

Yesterday's Game: BUF 0, COL 6

Both teams were held to just six hits a piece but it was the Clippers who were able to get runs across the plate on Saturday. Eight of the nine batters in the Bisons lineup reached base via hit or walk in the loss.

Columbus Clippers (1-1)

Buffalo and Columbus are meeting for the first of two regular season series. After the matchup at Sahlen Field this week, the two teams will square off at Huntington Park August 9-11.

Today's Starter

RHP Sean Reid-Foley makes his first start in more than a week for the Bisons. In his last start on July 13, the righty tossed four innings in the no-decision against Pawtucket giving up three runs, two earned, on two hits and five walks.

Michael De La Cruz

C Michael De La Cruz reached base two times in the loss on Saturday. The switch hitting backstop had a single and a walk. De La Cruz is hitting .316 with a .409 on-base pct. in six games this month (6-19, 3BB).

Richard Urena

INF Richard Urena also reached base twice on Saturday, working a pair of free passes. Urena has reached base via walk or hit in six of his last seven games. The infielder has also driven in eight runners in 18 games this month.

Jordan Patterson

OF Jordan Patterson finished Saturday's contest 1-3. Patterson has now reached base via walk or hit in 11 of his last 13 ball games.

Bisons Bits

Saturday was just the seventh time all season that the hits between the Bisons and their opponents were even...Saturday was the tenth time the Bisons have played in a shutout and are 5-5 in those contests.

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (38-62) tied the game in the fifth inning on Saturday with a grand slam off the bat of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the first of his career. It helped the team secure an eventual 7-5 win after Brandon Drury's two run shot in the sixth. RHP Jacob Waguespack looks to help finish the road trip at .500 as he faces southpaw Tyler Alexander in the Motor City at 1:10 p.m. The Blue Jays will then return to the Rogers Centre as they host the Cleveland Indians and Tampa Bay Rays.
