Today's Game
This afternoon the Bisons close out the front end of the their seven-day road trip, in game four against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Buffalo is looking to leave Moosic with a win, and to snap their six-game losing streak in the process. Following the game, the Herd heads to Pawtucket for a three-game series.
Last Game: BUF 4, S/W-B 10
The Herd fell behind 6-0 through six innings, but mounted a late comeback in the 7th. Roemon Fields' RBI triple and Bo Bichette's two-run home run got Buffalo on the scorebaord. However, four runs in the bottom of the inning helped the RailRiders secure their third straight win against the Herd.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (2-5)
The Bisons picked up two wins in the first series of the season against the RailRiders to split in Buffalo. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre will visit Sahlen Field in a week for a two-day, three-game series against the Herd.
Today's Starter
David Paulino is making his second start of the season for the Bisons. The right hander worked 3.2 innings on April 8th vs. Pawtucket at Sahlen Field. Paulino received a no decision after allowing just two hits and one run, in addition to recording three strikeouts.
Bo Bichette
Shortstop Bo Bichette collected his second multi-hit performance of the season in Saturday's loss. Bichette went 3-5 at the plate, including a 7th inning two-run opposite field home run. The Triple-A rookie collected his third RBI of the game in the 9th inning with a single that scored Roemon Fields.
Transactions
Clay Buchholz returned to the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday after completing his MLB rehab assignment with the Herd. The veteran right hander made one start for Buffalo, and made the start for the Blue Jays against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday.
Blue Jays Update
Toronto (5-10) used a Lourdes Gurriel Jr. two-run double in the bottom of the 7th inning on Saturday to help lead a 3-1 comeback win against Tampa Bay. The Blue Jays and Rays close out their series with Marcus Stroman making the home start at Rogers Centre this afternoon. On Monday the Jays will begin a seven-game roadtrip that starts in Minnesota and concludes against the Oakland A's.
