Michael De La Cruz continued to swing a hot bat, hitting his second home run of the season in the loss.

Pawtucket Red Sox (9-6)

Buffalo and Pawtucket are meeting for the fifth time in 2019. This is the last trip to Rhode Island for the Herd this season. The two teams will play one more three-game series in Buffalo at the end of August.

Today's Starter

LHP Thomas Pannone takes the ball as Buffalo looks to take the final game for a series win. The southpaw is making his first start after being recalled by Toronto prior to the All-Star Break. Pannone threw 4.1 innings out of the bullpen on 7/4 against the Boston Red Sox.

Michael De La Cruz

While the catcher has played just 26 games this season, Michael De La Cruz just can't stop hitting. After going 2-4 with a home run and three RBI on Saturday, the switch-hitting backstop has now been on base via a walk or hit in 20 of his 26 games. Both home runs De La Cruz has hit this season has also come against the PawSox as his first career Triple-A longball was slugged in game one of a twinbill on 5/2.

Kirby Snead

LHP Kirby Snead made his first appearance since pitching in the Triple-A All-Star Game. The lefty tossed two shutout innings yielding just three hits and striking out three. The 40 pitches he threw was a season-high, after he tossed 38 on 7/4.
