Today's Game

This afternoon, the Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the finale of their four game set at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA (1:35 p.m.). The Herd heads to Rhode Island to taken on the Pawtucket Red Sox for a three game series following today's game. Then Buffalo will return to Coca-Cola Field following a scheduled off day to begin a seven game homestand on May 18.

Last Game: LHV 1, BUF 0

The start was delayed by 1:44 due to inclement weather. RHP Justin Dillon worked six innings for the Herd in his first Triple-A start. He gave up just one unearned run, which came in the sixth, while striking out ten in the loss. Buffalo pounded out just three hits, with 2B Devon Travis reaching base twice, once with a hit and also via a walk. The loss was the third straight for the Bisons against Lehigh Valley. They have not won at Coca-Cola Park since 8/29/16.

Today's Starter: RHP Josh DeGraaf

RHP Josh DeGraaf is making his Triple-A debut after being assigned to the Bisons on Sunday. The 25 year-old began the season with Dunedin (Adv-A) with six appearances, all starts. DeGraaf was drafted in the 31st Round of the 2015 Draft by Toronto out of Taylor University. He had eight relief outings and one start for New Hampshire (AA) in 2017, while not factoring into a decision and having a 3.45ERA.

Lehigh Valley (0-3)

The Bisons and IronPigs will play a total of 18 times this season. Following this series, the two teams will play each other again June11-13 in Lehigh Valley. The Herd then hosts the IronPigs for a three game series June 22-24 at Coca-Cola Field.

Devon Travis

2B Devon Travis had one of three hits for the Bisons on Saturday night to up his batting average to .200 in nine games. He also drew a walk as one of just six base runners in the shutout loss.

Tim Lopes

INF Tim Lopes doubled in the third inning on Saturday, a day after being held off of the base paths. He is currently seven percentage points behind Indianapolis' Jose Osuna for the IL's top batting average. Lopes is hitting .352, compared to Osuna's .359BA.

Bisons Bits

The Bisons boast two of the IL's top pitchers with RHPs Sam Gaviglio and Chris Rowley ranking in top five in ERA among all qualifiers. Gaviglio sits at 1.86, while Rowley's ERA is 1.93 after his start Thursday...Buffalo has been shutout in back-to-back games for the first time this season. They were not shutout in the season's first month...RHP Danny Barnes had two strikeouts in his relief outing.

Transactions

Prior to Friday's contest the Blue Jays recalled RHPs Sam Gaviglio and Joe Biagini from the Herd, while LHP Tim Mayza was optioned to Buffalo in a corresponding move.

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (21-19) dropped the middle game of their three game series against the Boston Red Sox 5-2 on Saturday afternoon. RHP Marco Estrada surrendered a 2R HR to 1B Hanley Ramirez as part of a three-run third inning for Boston. OF Teoscar Hernandez went 2-4 at the plate in the loss. RHP Joe Biagini is scheduled to start the rubber match on Sunday afternoon at Rogers Centre (1:07 p.m.).
