MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The Biscuits (10-12) walked 8 and hit 3 batters in a 10-2 game-one loss to the Birmingham Barons (11-11) before falling 5-2 in the nightcap Thursday at Riverwalk Stadium.

Montgomery trailed 1-0 going into the fourth inning in game one. The Barons scored 2 runs in the fourth, 3 in the fifth and broke things open with a four-run sixth inning to make it 10-1 Birmingham. Matt Bushmann (0-1) suffered the loss.

In the second game, the Biscuits had a short-lived 1-0 lead after one, but the Barons would take a 3-1 lead in the fourth and not look back.

Kyeong Kang had a strong 2-3 performance with a home run, triple and 2 RBI. Hak-Ju Lee had his second 3-hit day in as many games, and with a 2-3 performance in game two is now 8-for-his-last-12. Cole Figueroa extended his on-base streak to 22 with hits in both games.

Birmingham starters grabbed the win in both games, with Nestor Molina (3-1) in game one and Jose Quintana (1-2) in the second game.

Game three of the series is set for Friday at 7:05 as RHP Shane Dyer opposes LHP Pedro Hernandez.
