JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Montgomery outfielder Erold Andrus blasted a ninth inning, three-run homerun to send the game to the tenth inning, where the Montgomery Biscuits (65-57, 31-21) scored two unearned runs for a 5-3, ten inning victory over the Jacksonville Suns (54-69, 21-32) in front of 8,144 Thursday night at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

The Suns lead the season series six games to two, while the Biscuits lead the current series two games to one. With the loss, the Suns fell to 1-10 in extra inning games as they have been outscored 13-4 in extra frames during 2008.

In his fifth Double-A start, Suns southpaw James Adkins had his best outing, dealing seven scoreless innings with one hit and four walks with four strikeouts.

Adkins left in line for the win as the Jacksonville offense scored three runs in the second inning against Montgomery right-handed starter Jeremy Hellickson for a 3-0 lead. Adam Godwin singled home two runs before a Ryan Rogowski RBI single opened the three run advantage.

Hellickson settled in after the second inning, facing the minimum the remainder of his outing. In his tenth Double-A start, he lasted seven innings with three runs, six hits and ten strikeouts without issuing a walk.

The Montgomery hitters got Hellickson off the hook for the loss in the ninth inning. After Suns reliever Jacobo Meque allowed a walk to start the frame, next reliever Travis Schlichting (4-4) induced a force play at second base for the first out. After a Rhyne Hughes single, Erold Andrus belted a three-run homerun into the right field bleachers for a 3-3 score, sending the game further.

After the Suns were down in order in the bottom of the ninth inning, Montgomery took the lead for good in the tenth with two unearned runs. J.T. Hall led off the inning by reaching second on a throwing error by Suns first baseman Adolfo Gonzalez. Following a Johnny Raburn walk, Gaby Martinez singled over the first base bag to bring Hall home for a 4-3 lead. Schlichting next dealt a wild pitch that allowed Raburn to score for a 5-3 lead.

Neil Frontz (6) dealt a perfect tenth inning to save the game for Montgomery. Montgomery reliever Steve Andrade (5-2) picked up the win after pitching a perfect ninth inning.
