MONTGOMERY, Ala. - D.J. Peterson hit two homeruns with five runs batted in as the Jackson Generals (63-76/32-38) defeated the Biscuits (66-74/31-39) 13-6 Monday afternoon at Riverwalk Stadium.
Peterson hit a three run homer, which was his 31st homerun of the season in the seventh inning, and drove in Tyler Smith and Dan Paulino to make the score 5-5. In the ninth, Peterson hit a two run homerun and brought in Paulino who doubled to the inning making the score 13-5.
The Generals scored 13 runs off 20 hits as Moises Hernandez (1-8) picked up the victory. The Biscuits led 5-1 through five innings, but Jackson scored 12 unanswered runs before the Biscuits scored a run in the ninth to make it 13-6.
The Biscuits jumped out and led 4-0 in the second inning with four consecutive hits and a two run homer by Justin O'Conner. Richie Shaffer led off with a single and was driven in by a Cameron Seitzer's double to start the scoring.
This season, the Biscuits finished fourth in the south division of the Southern League.
