MONTGOMERY, AL - The annual Biscuits Charities Jersey Auction opens today online, and will conclude live at Riverwalk Stadium on Saturday, August 28th, when the Biscuits take on the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx on Charities Night at 7:05.

The Biscuits game-worn home uniforms from the 2010 season will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the River Region United Way. The online auction can be accessed through biscuitsbaseball.com beginning at 9 AM this morning.

"The Biscuits are committed to helping the community," Biscuits' Co-Owner Sherrie Myers said. "This auction is a great opportunity both to own a piece of history and to support Biscuits' partner charities at the same time."

The online auction will close at noon on Saturday the 28th. The bidding starts at $135, and the highest bid from the online auction will be the starting bid at the ballpark when the gates open for Saturday's game. The highest bidder at the end of the silent auction at the park will win the uniform. Fans who are unable to attend Charities Night are encouraged to place the highest possible bid on their favorite jersey to give them their best chance to win.

At the conclusion of the live silent auction, the winning bidders will be announced and a post-game on-field ceremony will see the winners personally presented their jerseys by the members of the Biscuits.

There are currently eight former Biscuits on the Tampa Bay Rays Big-League roster. Names like Price, Longoria, Hellickson, and Jaso have been on uniforms won in the Biscuits Jersey Auction in the past.

Tickets for the final homestand of the season, including Saturday's Charities Night, may be purchased by visiting biscuitsbaseball.com, the Tallapoosa Street Box Office, or by calling 334-323-2255.
