
Birmingham Takes First Game of Mexico City Back-To-Back, 108-103

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, moved to 2-0 in the Showcase portion of the season with a 108-103 victory over the Mexico City Capitanes on Sunday night.
Four Squadron players scored at least 18 points each on the night and rookie guard Landers Nolley II tallied his second double-double in as many games with 27 points and 12 boards.
Malcolm Hill notched 25 points and Jalen Crutcher scored 21, while E.J. Liddell added in 18 to help the Squadron remain unbeaten through two contests.
Former G League Finals MVP Devin Cannady had the highest plus-minus mark of the night at +15.
The Squadron return to the court tomorrow for the second game of the back-to-back at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. CST and the game can be seen on My68 in Birmingham or nationally on NBAGLeague.com.
