MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis rallied by Iowa Thursday night at AutoZone Park erasing a five-run, first-inning deficit to win 6-5 and beat the Cubs for the third straight day.

After rallying for three runs in the eighth, Memphis rallied for another run in the 10th on three hits. Tyler Greene doubled to start the inning and went to third on Daniel Descalso's single to right field. Tyler Henley then drove in the winning run with a single to center field extending the ‘Birds win streak to a season-best four games. Greene scored three runs and had three hits with Descalso driving in four runs with three hits to lead the Redbirds. Brad Snyder again victimized Memphis pitching for three hits and has seven hits in the first three games of the series.

Matt Scherer earned the win with two scoreless innings for the Redbirds. John Gaub took the loss for Iowa giving up one run on four hits in 1.1 innings. Memphis starter Brandon Dickson gave up five runs on eight hits in 6.1 innings but allowed no runs on four hits after the first.

The Redbirds wrap up their first homestand of the year tomorrow night against Iowa. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. with post-game fireworks presented by Coors Light.
