
Bird Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery

SEATTLE, Friday, July 6, 2007 - Storm All-Star Sue Bird underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on her left knee this morning. The procedure was performed by Dr. Michael Joyce at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Conn. Bird is scheduled to return to Seattle on Tuesday, July 10, to begin her rehabilitation and is expected to be sidelined for approximately two weeks.
