Bilingual Wolves Forward to Speak With Students

Chicago Wolves left wing JORDAN LaVALLEE will visit a French class at the Willows Academy in Des Plaines as part of the team's educational outreach program on Tue., Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. The Wolves forward will discuss the importance of foreign language study and the benefits of being bilingual.

The 22-year-old forward will address the class in French regarding his hockey background and experience learning French while playing junior hockey for the Quebec Remparts (QMJHL), and will answer questions from students.

The Atlanta Thrashers' fourth choice, 113th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, LaVALLEE currently shares fourth on the team with eight goals and has recorded 14 points in 33 outings with the Wolves.

Last season, the Corvallis, Ore., native registered 20 goals, 22 assists and 42 points in 76 AHL games with the Wolves and made his National Hockey League debut in two games with Atlanta, collecting an assist and his first NHL goal.
