Reno Bighorns News Release

RENO, Nev.-The Reno Bighorns will host Law Enforcement Appreciation Day this Sunday inside the Reno Events Center, with the Reno Police Department taking on the Washoe County Sheriff's Department in a game-before-the-game at noon, followed by the Bighorns playing host to the Utah Flash at 3 p.m.

Fans with tickets to the Bighorns 3 p.m. tip-off are invited to attend the 12 p.m. game-before-a-game for free. Proceeds from select tickets to Sunday's game will benefit two law enforcement organizations: The Nevada Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and The Silver State National Peace Officers Museum.

In order for proceeds to benefit these organizations, fans need to order tickets through Evan Durlester at (775) 334-7063.

The entire afternoon will have a law enforcement theme, with two historic restored police vehicles on display and a K-9 demonstration at halftime. In addition, singers from The Silver State Museum and the Storey County Sheriff's Office will be on hand to sing "Call to Courage" and the National Anthem.

Reno currently holds the fifth-best record in the D-League, but is just two games behind Erie for the best record in the league. The top eight teams in the league make the playoffs.
