Teddy Bear Toss Presented By Power 96
The Bruins continue the tradition of throwing Teddy Bears onto the ice after Austin's first goal of the night. Once again sponsored by our good friends at Power 96, the Teddy Bear Toss will see hundreds of teddy bears donated to the Salvation Army in Austin for distribution this holiday season.
LAST GAMES REVIEW: Austin split a home-and-home series with the Minnesota Wilderness this past week. On Wednesday before the Thanksgiving Holiday, Austin saw a two-goal lead evaporate as they fell to the Wilderness 3-2 on the road. After their fill of turkey and stuffing, the Bruins exacted their revenge in the most exciting games at Riverside Arena this season. Austin fell down into a 4-0 hole only fifteen minutes in, Austin would score six consecutive goals over the next two-plus periods to take a 6-4 lead and ultimately win the game 6-5. Connor Mylymok lead all Bruins in scoring on the night with two goals and two assists, while Carson Riddle's fight win over a much larger opponent is looked at as the games turning point.
UPCOMING GAME PREVIEW: For the firs time this season, the Bruins take on the St. Cloud Blizzard. Returning to SE Minnesota, now an assistant coach for the Blizzard, is former Rochester Grizzlies Head Coach Casey Mignone. The game was originally scheduled to be in St. Cloud as part of a two-game set up north, but due to ice availability with the arena in St. Cloud, the two teams were forced to make a schedule change and it's now a part of a home-and-home series.
