
Biddle and Fightins Deliver Series Win

Jesse Biddle turned in seven solid innings and the Fightins offense scored 11 runs to beat Harrisburg 11-2.
The Fightin Phils set season highs in runs and hits as they defeated the Harrisburg Senators 15-2 on Sunday. Jesse Biddle (3-3) earned his third win of the season as he logged seven innings and allowed two runs off three hits with three walks and six strikeouts.
A throwing error by Senators shortstop Jason Martinson in the top of the second inning allowed Tommy Joseph to score and give Reading a 1-0 lead. Harrisburg's Quincy Latimore tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the third inning as he hit is first home run of the season off Jesse Biddle.
The Fightin Phils broke the 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fourth inning as they scored six runs off starter Felipe Rivero to take a 7-1 lead. Edgar Duran got it started with a two RBI single which was followed by Cesar Hernandez bringing in a run on a double-play. Cameron Perkins hit a RBI single and Tommy Joseph capped off the inning with a two RBI triple. The triple came off reliever Matt Grace as Senators starter Felipe left due to injury on a 1-1 count against Joseph. The triple by Joseph was his first of the season.
Aaron Altherr hit is second home run of the season in the bottom of the sixth inning as he hit a two-run blast off reliever Gabriel Alfaro to give Reading a 9-1 lead. Quincy Latimore tacked on another run for Harrisburg in the top of the seventh inning to cut the Fightins lead to 9-2. In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Fightin Phils scored two more runs to take a 11-2 lead. Cesar Hernandez hit a RBI single off Gabriel Alfaro and Cameron Perkins hit into a fielder's choice to score Carlos Alonso.
Four more runs came across for the Fightin Phils in the bottom of the eighth inning off reliever Brandon Bantz to take a 15-2 lead. Tommy Joseph hit his fifth home run of the season, a solo shot and Edgar Duran hit a two RBI double. Carlos Alonso hit a RBI groundout and Cesar Hernandez capped off the inning with a RBI single.
Ryan O'Sullivan and Jay Johnson each threw scoreless innings in relief. The Reading Fightin Phils are now 14-12 on the season and will play the Portland Sea Dogs on Monday night at FirstEnergy Stadium at 6:35 pm.
