April 15, 2010 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Bloomington Extreme News Release
BLOOMINGTON (Ill.) - Bloomington linebacker Joe Bevis is currently in second place in total tackles in the Indoor Football League (IFL) with 54. Bevis and the Extreme will have a chance to avenge last week's loss to Chicago when they host the Maryland Maniacs Saturday night at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Kick off is set for 7:05 p.m.
Making his first start as a member of the Extreme (2-3), quarterback Rocky Hinds was 16-30 for 173 yards with four touchdown passes and one interception, but it was not enough as Bloomington fell to division-rival, Chicago Slaughter 50-43 last week. Wide receiver John Cooper hauled in five catches for 72 yards and one touchdown.
It has been a disappointing start to the season for the Maryland (0-4). The Maniacs fell to Rochester last week, 52-36. Maryland is led by quarterback Derrick McBryde who is 25-39 for 250 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. McBryde's favorite target has been wide receiver Terry Moss who is leading the team with 17 catches for 147 yards and four touchdowns.
