Extreme will open 2011 IFL Playoffs at Omaha

BLOOMINGTON (Ill.) - The Bloomington Extreme (9-5) will travel to Omaha to play the Omaha Beef (9-5) on Saturday, June 18, 2011 in the first round of the 2011 IFL playoffs. The game will kick off at 7:00 PM at the Omaha Civic Arena between the United Conference's 4 & 5 seeded teams.
The winner will move on to the 2nd round of the playoffs at either the top seeded Sioux Falls Storm (13-1) or 2nd seeded Green Bay Blizzard (11-3). The other 1st round game in the United Conference of the IFL is the 6th seeded Chicago Slaughter (8-6) playing at the 3rd seeded Reading Express (8-6). The 2nd round match ups will feature the lowest remaining seed (4, 5, or 6) at Sioux Falls and the 2nd lowest remaining seed (3, 4, or 5) at Green Bay. The 2nd round will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011.
Extreme fans can view the game LIVE at Hooters of Bloomington or those interested in traveling to Omaha to see the game should contact the Extreme Front Office on Monday.
