Predators Hardin Named Special Teams Player Of The Week

Kent, WA: In release made today, the league office of the Indoor Football League announced that Kent Predators Kick Returner and Defensive back Dre' Mail Hardin was selected as the Week Seven VidSwap.com Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in the team's first home victory against the Alaska Wild.

Hardin became the second Predator this season to be named Special Teams Player of the Week after Jarvious Dunn accomplished the feat in Week One. In one of the more exciting finishes of the young season, and perhaps being the top play of the year thus far, Hardin put the finishing touches on Kent's second consecutive win. Trailing 54-53 with thirteen seconds left in the game, Hardin took an Alaska Wild kickoff up the seams and to the house for a game winning, 54 yard touchdown. The win was the teams first home win in franchise history. He also contributed on the defensive side of the ball with 7 total tackles and 2 pass breakups.

The league also announced that Billings Outlaws Quarterback Chris Dixon and Tri-Cities Fever Defensive Back Montavis Pitts were selected as the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week respectively. Hardin and the rest of his Predator teammates are back in action this coming Sunday against division foe Tri-Cities. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
