Everett Silvertips News Release
EVERETT, Wash. - Jackson Berezowski potted a pair and Braden Holt stopped all 28 thrown his way for a 4-0 shutout victory for the Everett Silvertips over the Victoria Royals Sunday afternoon.
Berezowski netted his first of the game at 8:56 in the first period, as Austin Roest deked out netminder Tyler Palmer with a feigned shot before lofting a saucer pass to Berezowski back-door. Roest would set up Berezowski again at 12:11 in the opening frame, wiring a pass to the doorstep while on the powerplay for the captain's third goal of the season.
Ryan Hofer added a powerplay goal at 9:47 in the second period, blasting a one-timer home for his first of the campaign. Vincent Lamanna buried his first career WHL goal at 17:45 in the third, fielding a Beau Courtney setup in front and lifting a wrister over Palmer's glove for a 4-0 lead.
Holt's first shutout of the year is the sixth of his WHL career. He recorded four in the 2021-22 season.
The Silvertips host the Medicine Hat Tigers Friday night and the Prince George Cougars Saturday at Angel of the Winds Arena. Tickets are available.
