Bellissimo Called Up to Lowell

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Vince Bellissimo was recalled to the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.

Bellissimo played in just one game with the Everblades, notching a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 7-1 win at Augusta. The 24-year-old returns to the Lock Monsters where he has skated in 21 games, notching four goals and collecting eight penalty minutes. The Toronto, Ontario native made his professional debut last year when he appeared in 12 games with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL, tallying six points (3g, 3a).

Prior to turning pro the former 5th round pick of the Florida Panthers in the 2002 NHL entry draft spent three seasons at the collegiate level with Western Michigan University. While with the Broncos, Bellissimo collected 113 points (49g, 64a) in 110 games.

The Everblades return to action on Friday, December 16 when they take on the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 p.m. from the Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Everblades 2005-06 group tickets and individual game tickets are on sale now!
