RoadRunners "Teddy Bear Toss" Game Nearly A Sellout
December 15, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Phoenix RoadRunners News Release
Phoenix, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL have announced that Friday's "Teddy Bear Toss" game at 7:11PM against the Bakersfield Condors at America West Arena is close to being a sellout. As of 9AM this morning, there were less than 1,000 tickets remaining.
The RoadRunners are encouraging all fans who will be attending to bring a teddy bear with them and toss it onto the ice when the RoadRunners score their first goal. All teddy bears collected will be donated to the Maricopa County Head Start Program just in time for the holiday season. The RoadRunners are pleased to donate a total of 1,200 tickets to the low income families from Head Start so that they can be present at the game.
For those who wish to participate in the Teddy Bear Toss, Stuffington Bear Factory will be selling teddy bears on the concourse for $5.
In addition, the RoadRunners, in conjunction with Santa's Christmas Theme Park, are pleased to announce that Santa Claus will be making a special appearance during the game. Santa will present the teddy bears to the families from Head Start, and will be available for visits with children throughout the game down in his colorfully decorated "Workshop" inside the RoadRunners Rink Side Suite located on the event level of America West Arena. Visit a RoadRunners Sales Representative on the concourse behind section 122 to be escorted down to "Santa's Workshop" for your chance to meet Santa Claus.
Santa's Christmas Theme Park has also graciously donated 1,200 tickets to their amusement park that will be presented to the families from Head Start prior to the game.
