Phoenix RoadRunners News Release
Phoenix, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL have announced that forward Cory Pecker has been loaned to Binghamton of the American Hockey League. Pecker is expected to be in the line-up when the Senators host the Norfolk Admirals on Friday.
Pecker, 24, begins his second stint in the AHL this season. The Montreal, Quebec native and fourth-year professional was loaned to San Antonio on November 26 and collected an assist in three games with the Rampage. Pecker leads the RoadRunners in scoring with 11 goals and 23 points through 18 games.
Pecker was named runner-up for ECHL Player of the Month honors in October after finishing with five goals and 11 points in the first five games of the regular season. He opened the season with a career-best 11-game scoring streak, including a stretch where he recorded multiple points in six consecutive games. Pecker has 34 goals and 72 points in 209 career AHL games.
In a separate transaction, the RoadRunners have activated forward Joe Dusbabek off the 30-day injured reserve.
The RoadRunners host the Bakersfield Condors in the inaugural "Teddy Bear Toss" game at 7:11PM tomorrow at America West Arena. Fans who will be attending are encouraged to bring a teddy bear with them and toss it onto the ice when the RoadRunners score their first goal. All teddy bears collected will be donated to the Maricopa County Head Start Program just in time for the holiday season. The RoadRunners are pleased to donate a total of 1,200 tickets to the low income families from Head Start so that they can be present at the game.
For those who wish to participate in the Teddy Bear Toss, Stuffington Bear Factory will be selling teddy bears on the concourse for $5.
Hey RoadRunners' fans, do you want to own a piece of history?
