August 27, 2022 - Pacific Coast League (PCL)
Salt Lake Bees News Release
Errors plagued the Salt Lake Bees (57-65) Saturday night in a 10-4 loss to the Tacoma Rainiers (56-66). The Bees committed four errors in the game after not having committed one in their last nine games. They fell one game shy of tying the franchise record of 10 consecutive errorless games.
Both Matt Duffy and Kean Wong went 2-for-5 with an RBI in the loss and Jake Palomaki went 1-for-3 with two runs scored.
Tacoma went up 3-0 in the top of the third inning and never looked back. Salt Lake was able to cut their lead to just one run, but then gave up four runs in the top of the fourth to give the Rainiers a 7-2 lead.
The Rainiers scored three more times before the end of the seventh, putting the game out of reach of the Bees.
Salt Lake will try to earn a split with Tacoma tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. in the series finale.
