
Bees Come Back From Four Run Deficit to Beat Wisconsin

Burlington, IA (June 27, 2008) - The Burlington Bees opened a four-game series at home against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and were victorious 8-4 Friday night. The Bees were down 4-0 going into the bottom of the second but finished the game scoring four unanswered runs.
Bees starting pitcher Eduardo Paulino allowed two runs in both the first and second innings before eventually settling down and allowing the Bees to come back. In all, Paulino pitched six innings allowing four runs, three of which were earned, on four hits with five strikeouts and no walks.
Down 4-0, the Bees began to chip away at the lead in the bottom of the second inning. With one out, Kyle Martin walked and then moved to third on a Nick Van Stratten double. Both runners scored when Juan Rivera hit a single to cut the deficit in half.
The Bees tied the game in the third inning. With two outs and no one on base, Mike Moustakas hit his 11th homerun over the wall in right field. The next batter, Clint Robinson, made it back-to-back homeruns as he hit his ninth homerun of the season to tie the game at 4-4.
The Bees took the lead in the fifth inning. Joe Billick led the inning off with a single. After another single and two walks, David Lough came to the plate with the bases loaded and walked to give the Bees a 5-4 lead. The Bees added two more runs in the sixth and one in the eighth for the win.
Adrian Ortiz finished the day 3-5. Both Lough and Rivera had two RBI while Moustakas and Van Stratten each scored two runs. Zach Peterson pitched the final three innings to pick up his third save of the season.
The Bees and Wisconsin will continue the series Saturday night at Community Field. Danny Duffy is the scheduled starter for the Bees. First pitch is set for 6:30.
