After a scoreless fourth innings, the Bees scored two more runs in the fifth inning. Mike Moustakas led the inning off with a double. Taylor and Walton then each reached on errors, one of which scored Moustakas to tie the game. Antonio Jimenez then singled to score Taylor, which gave the Bees a one-run lead.

Yensi Lopez pitched the sixth and seventh innings allowing just one hit with three strikeouts and was awarded his third hold of the season.
