Firefighters To Take On Packers At Time Warner Cable Field

Appleton, WI: The Timber Rattlers are proud to announce that on Monday, May 19, 2008, the Appleton fire fighters will battle Packers wide receiver Ruvell Martin and his teammates in a softball game to benefit the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm and gates to Time Warner Cable Field will open at 5pm.

Additional players committed to join Martin in the nine inning softball are: fellow wide receivers Greg Jennings and James Jones, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, running back Vernand Morency, full back John Kuhn, kicker Mason Crosby along with safeties Tyrone Culver and Nick Collins.

"We are excited to have the opportunity to play the Packers and appreciate them supporting our efforts," said Mike Woodzicka, president of the Appleton Firefighters. "We look forward to having the community come out and support us as well during the fun day."

The PFFW, comprised of 59 fire departments throughout the state of Wisconsin, is dedicated to community programs, public and firefighter safety and often provide funds to local charities and area fire departments.
