Beef add three newcomers to defense

Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef of the United Indoor Football Association is pleased to announce the signing of defensive lineman Ron Strozyk, Taylor Wallin, and defensive back Jimmy Moore Strozyk, a 6'2 270 defensive lineman out of Graceland University will look to make an impact in the trenches after a strong senior season with the Yellow jackets. Strozyk was a two-time All-Heart of America Athletic Conference selection, two-time team defensive line MVP, and was recently named to the 2005 Don Hansen All-American team. Strozyk paced the defense with his 52 tackles (18 tackles for loss for 72) and helped lead the Yellow Jackets to the NAIA National play-offs.

Wallin, a 6'2 275 defensive lineman from Northwestern College, IA, will also look to make an impact with the Beef in his rookie season. Wallin was an All-Conference performer at Iowa Central College before transferring to Northwestern. Wallin was selected as the defensive line MVP his junior season helping the Red Raiders reach the second round of the NAIA National play offs. Wallin is a personal trainer at the 24-hour fitness on 144th and F Street.

Moore, a 5'11 195 defensive back played his college football at Doane College before going on to play for the Tri-City Diesel in 2001-2002. Moore most recently saw action with the Ottawa Renegades of the Canadian Football League in 2004.

"We are very excited to bring Ron, Taylor, and Jimmy into our program and feel they will be big contributors for us in 2006," stated Head Coach Robert Fuller. "We feel Ron and Taylor will be a force on the defensive line at either End or Noseguard. Jimmy participated in our last try out and really came out and dominated everyone he went against. He earned a job on the spot."
