
Beckie, Sinclair, RodrÍguez, Sugita Called up for FIFA International Window

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC announced today that four players have been called up by their respective national teams to play friendlies in the upcoming FIFA international wind ow. Forwards Janine Beckie and Christine Sinclair will represent Canada, midfielder Rocky Rodríguez will join Costa Rica, and Hina Sugita is set to participate with Japan.
Beckie (96 caps), Sinclair (317 caps) and Canada will play a pair of matches at Estadio Municipal de Chapín in Spain, facing Argentina on Oct. 6 and Morocco on Oct. 10.
Rodríguez (79 caps) and Costa Rica are set to host the Philippines at Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium on Oct. 7 and Oct. 11.
Sugita (29 caps) and Japan will face Nigeria on Oct. 6 at Noevir Stadium Kobe and New Zealand on Oct. 9 at Nagano U Stadium.
