Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Saturday at AT&T Field was an epic night for fans. In addition to The Famous Chicken being in attendance, fans go to witness a highly contested match-up in which Joseph Becker had an eleventh inning, walkoff hit to give the Lookouts a 5-4 over the Mississippi Braves. The Lookouts jumped off to a quick 1-0 lead in the first. Justin Sellers hit a one-out single and advanced to second on an Eddy Perez ground out. Josh Bell followed with a deep drive to the gap in left-center, which resulted in an RBI and an uncontested triple. Mississippi quickly countered in the second with two runs to take the lead. After one out was recorded, Lookouts starting pitcher James Adkins proceeded to walk Concepcion Rodriguez and Kody Kirkland. Brandon Hicks advanced both runners a base with a ground out to third base. Adkins then intentionally walked Kala Ka'aihue to load the bases, and Jeff Lyman made the Lookouts pay by blasting a double to right, scoring two runs. The M-Braves added two more in the fourth. Rodriguez, once again, began the rally, but this time by means of a single. After stealing second, Kirkland drove home Rodriguez with a triple off of the left field wall. Ka'aihue would eventually drive home Kirkland by hitting a single to left. Chattanooga evened-up the score in the sixth with a single stroke of the bat by Andrew Lambo, who hit a three-run shot to put the score at 4-4. Both teams would be locked into a stalemate until the bottom of the eleventh, when Joseph Becker nailed a ball down the third base line off of Brett Butts (3-2) with the bases loaded for the game-winning hit. Matt Sartor (1-2) was credited with the win by recording the final out of the top portion of the eleventh. The Chattanooga Lookouts and Mississippi Braves will wrap-up their five-game series at 2:15 P.M., tomorrow. Tickets for this game or any other Lookouts home game can be purchased at the Lookouts Box Office at AT&T Field, online at www.lookouts.com, or by calling (423) 267-4849.
