Allen Texas-The Allen Americans and Head Coach and GM Dwight Mullins announced today that goalie Rejean Beauchemin has been recalled by San Antonio of the American Hockey League.

Beauchemin, who won the Oakley Goalie of the week in the CHL this week, has only given up five goals total in his last five starts, including two shutouts last week. Beauchemin has a record of 10-4-4 and leads the Central Hockey League in both goals against average and save percentage.

"Rejean has earned this," said Americans Coach Dwight Mullins on Beauchemin's call up to San Antonio. "It's great to see his hard work and play is recognized and rewarded."

In another move, the Lake Erie Monsters, the Allen Americans primary AAA affiliate, reassigned forward Ben Wilson to Allen. Wilson is a 6'0", 180 pound forward from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He played in 30 games for Lake Erie this season.

"Wilson is a spark plug who plays with a ton of energy," said Coach Dwight Mullins. Wilson will join the Americans in time for Friday's game.

The Americans currently have five players on American Hockey League call-up. Scott Langdon and James Reid with Lake Erie; Marco Cousineau with Syracuse;

Mike Berube with Texas; and Rejean Beauchemin with San Antonio.

The Americans trail the first place Wichita Thunder by one point in the Berry Conference. The Americans are home to the Tulsa Oilers on Friday, February 3rd and Saturday, February 4th; both games have a 7:05 PM puck drop.
