Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

LAREDO, Texas (February 1) - In Adam Avramenko's debut in net for the Brahmas on Wednesday night, the Bucks scored three powerplay goals en route to a 6-0 win over Texas.

Laredo got on the board just 2:04 into the first period with a shorthanded, unassisted goal by Justin Styffe. The Bucks continued their success on special teams with powerplay goals from David Inman, Ryan Sparling and Neil Trimm.

Bucks' netminder Torrie Jung was impressive, saving all 29 shots put on net by the Brahmas to record his second shutout of the season. His counterpart Avramenko struggled throughout the contest, stopping 24 of 30 Laredo shots to take the loss in his first career CHL start.

Texas falls to 20-16-7, tied for third place in the Berry Conference with 47 points. The Brahmas will look for revenge against the Bucks on Friday, February 3 when the two teams face off again from the Laredo Energy Arena. The Brahmas return home on Friday February 10 when they take on the rival Allen Americans at 7:30pm from the NYTEX Sports Centre.
