Hershey Bears News Release

The HERSHEY BEARS Hockey Club will have four players in Monday's AHL All-Star Classic at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. Keith Aucoin and Chris Bourque will skate for the Planet USA AHL All-Star team Monday, while Alexandre Giroux and Bryan Helmer represent HERSHEY playing for the Canadian AHL All-Star squad.

HERSHEY gets back to action Friday night with a game in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton before hosting the Norfolk Admirals Saturday at GIANT Center at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for all BEARS home games are on sale now at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534- 3911.

Another record for Giroux: The magical Alexandre Giroux history tour continued Saturday night at GIANT Center, as he notched a point in his 22nd

consecutive game, a new franchise record. Wes Jarvis picked up points for HERSHEY in 20 straight games during the 1981-82 season, a record that stood for nearly 27 years. Giroux had his AHL record 15-game goal streak snapped this past Wednesday in Norfolk against the Admirals, and now leads the AHL with 36 goals at the break.

The dynamic duo: At the All- Star break, HERSHEY linemates Keith Aucoin and Alexandre Giroux are one-two in the AHL scoring race. Aucoin, who has led the league in scoring since the first week of the season, has 60 points on 17 goals and 43 assists. Giroux, who leads the league in goals with 36, is second in the league in points with 56. The BEARS have not had the top two scorers in the AHL on its roster since Jeannot Gilbert and Michel Harvey finished one-two at the end of the 1968-69 season. Hartford's Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau is currently third in the AHL in scoring with 49 points.

200,000 friends and family: The BEARS eclipsed the 200,000 attendance plateau Saturday night with a win over the Manchester Monarchs. HERSHEY has 16 home games remaining after the All-Star break.

Chasing history: HERSHEY needs 20 victories in its final 33 games to break the franchise record for victories in a single season. The BEARS set the current record of 51 wins back in 2006-07 under current Washington Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau

Washington update: Congratulations to former HERSHEY BEARS and current Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau, who was inducted into the American Hockey League Hall-of-Fame Monday.
