
Rivermen Host Winning Wednesdays

Peoria, Ill. (January 28, 2009) - The Peoria Rivermen fans will have a little extra to root for in their game against the Rockford IceHogs on Wednesday, Feb.11. If the Rivermen win, all fans in attendance will receive a free ticket to the Rivermen game on Feb. 18 when they take on the San Antonio Rampage.
The Rivermen have also announced that they will be offering $1 beer at all six remaining Wednesday home games this season. Carver Arena will be the site for Rivermen games on four consecutive Wednesdays beginning on Feb. 11.
"We wanted to create a great atmosphere for our players to play in and give something back to the fans at the same time," said Rivermen COO Josh Morin. "We expect the place to be packed and as loud as ever to support our team."
Fans would be able to redeem their Feb. 11 ticket stub at the Peoria Civic Center box office for a free upper bowl ticket leading up to the game on Feb.18.
Win or lose fans will be able to take advantage $8 tickets in the Pilot's House at all remaining Wednesday home games.
