Adirondack Phantoms News Release

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms will put reality on hold this Saturday night at the Wachovia Spectrum. The club will hold its annual "Backwards Night" when they host the Albany River Rats at 7:05 PM in their return to action from the All-Star break.

In the spirit of the event, the Spectrum scoreboard will display the third period first, and the first period last. Fans are encouraged to participate by wearing their hockey jerseys or Phantoms gear backwards. The Phantoms Phan Patrol will be wearing their outfits backwards all evening, and will be looking for the best "backwards outfit" throughout the game. The winner will receive a team-autographed Phantoms stick.

Many of the evening's promotional events will be reversed or altered to reflect the evening's theme. For Chuck-A-Puck on Saturday, all fans will be asked to throw their pucks with their back to the ice. The First Goal Frenzy, which normally awards a prize to a fan based on the player that scores the first Phantoms goal, will instead award the prize to a fan based on who scores the last goal.

The evening's Glass Pass will be reversed, with a family ceremonially being moved from the first row of the building to the last row of the second deck. Also, the nightly "Name That Tune" contest will feature the music being played backwards.

Upon entry, fans will be able to enter a raffle to win a Phantoms team-autographed mirror.

Comcast-Spectacor and the Phantoms are now offering an amazing $10 adult ticket price for all remaining home games for the Phantoms final season at the Wachovia Spectrum, while all tickets for kids 14 and under are now $5. Tickets are available at the Wachovia Complex box office, online at Phantomshockey.com, or via ComcastTIX at 1-800-298-4200.
