
Bears Get Back to Winning Ways vs Coulee

Kenai River Brown Bears News Release
The Brown Bears came out pushing the pace against division rival Coulee. Although they were outshot 13-7 the defense was solid as well as goalie Evan Hauser. Hause stopped all 13 including a penalty shot. The second period the Bears dominated on the shot chart 16-7 and the scoreboard 2-0. Goals came from Tyler Andrews (Bouvet, Berglund) and Austin Chavez (Andrews, Klishko) The Bears got comfortable and Coulee out shot the Bears 17-9 including two goals to tie it up. The 9th and final shot of the game came off rookie defenseman Jack Nickels (Bouvet Gessert) with only nine seconds remaining to give Kenai the victory. Evan Hauser had 35 saves in his first win as a Brown Bear.
