Bears cut nine players after 4-1 win over Senators

HERSHEY – The HERSHEY BEARS announced today the club has reassigned nine players to other minor league training camps following a 4-1 victory over the Binghamton Senators at GIANT Center. The announcement was made by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst and the BEARS coaching staff.

Four of the nine players were assigned to the UHL's Quad City Mallards. Defensemen Serge Crochetiere and Martin Wilde along with forwards Joe Dusbabek and Drew Otten were assigned to training camp in Quad City, which opened Sunday. Defensemen Reagan Rome and Ian Turner were both assigned to Reading after the game Sunday, while defenseman J.F. David was assigned to the UHL's Danbury Trashers. Defenseman Pierre-Luc Courchesne was assigned after the game to the Johnstown Chiefs (ECHL), while defenseman Matt Libby was assigned to the Trenton Titans (ECHL). The nine players reassigned brings the total number of players on HERSHEY'S roster to 27.

The BEARS open the 2004-05 season on Friday, October 15 at Norfolk before opening the home schedule the following night on Saturday, October 16.
