For the second consecutive season, HERSHEY and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will square off in a best-of-seven East Division Final that will determine who advances out of the East to the AHL's version of the final four. Game 1 between the two teams will be Wednesday night at GIANT Center, with face-off at 7:00 p.m.

The BEARS advanced to the second round of the 2007 Calder Cup playoffs last Wednesday night with a 4-2 win over the Albany River Rats in Game 5 of the East Division Semi-Finals. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton moved on to play in round two this past Sunday night with a 3-2 victory in regulation over the Norfolk Admirals. The Penguins won their East Division Semi four games to two. The winner of the East Division Final will face the winner of the Atlantic Division Final, featuring the Manchester Monarchs and the Providence Bruins.

HERSHEY won five of the last six games against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton during the regular season, including most recently a 6-1 victory on April 13 at Wachovia Arena that clinched the 2006-07 East Division Championship for the Chocolate and White. The BEARS also eliminated the Penguins from postseason play last season with a four-game series sweep in the 2006 East Division Finals. HERSHEY won Games 1 and 2 last season at Wachovia Arena by scores of 5-4 and 5-0 before returning home to close out the series. The BEARS won Game 3 by a 4-1 final before wrapping up the series with a 1-0 victory on May 9, 2006.

Scott Barney and Kyle Wilson led the BEARS in scoring during the Albany series with six points apiece. Barney scored three goals and assisted on three others, while Wilson scored twice and dished out four playmakers. Goaltender Frederic Cassivi won all four games in the series, and has now has a 20-6 playoff record dating back to the beginning of the 2006 Calder Cup Playoffs.

Tickets are available for Wednesday's Game 1 and Friday's Game 2 at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911. The series shifts to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this Saturday night for Game 3 of the series, with Game 4 scheduled for next Wednesday night.
