In Brief
- 10/29: Rematch
After losing a two-goal lead the previous week against the Kalamazoo Wings, the Beacons looked to avenge that loss against the Wings on Friday night at McMorran Arena. Kalamazoo got on the board first with what would be Tim Turners first of three goals on the night. Daniel Berthiaume did his part to help the Beacons making 28 saves on 31 shots, however it was not enough as the Wings won 3-1 in a tight defensive battle. Mat Goody (1) scored the lone goal for the Beacons.
- 10/30: Battle of Interstate 69
After losing two pre-season games in early October the Beacons went back to Flint looking to avenge their five game losing streak. The Generals scored 2:07 into the game with a goal by Bobby Kukulka, the Beacons however responded late in the period at 19:18 with a goal by Josh Tataryn (4), to end the first tied at 1. Rob Valicevic scored both of his goals in the second while Port Huron scored one on a shot by Trevor Edwards (2), with assists by Andrew Shier (4) and Josh Tataryn (1) ending the second with the Generals up 3-2. The Beacons tied up the game at 18:11 in the 3rd with a goal by Andrew MacPherson (1), with an assist by Aaron Brand (5) and Ivan Curic (2), forcing a shootout. The first three rounds resulted in no scoring, while round four saw Ian Jacobs score the lone goal for the Beacons. Flint's JP Morin scored immediately following Port Hurons goal forcing a sudden death round after round five saw no goals. Andrei Lupadin scored the lone goal in round six giving the Generals the 4-3 shootout win.
- 10/31: Motor City Mechanics
The Beacons scored 3:13 into the first period on a power play goal by Ian Jacobs (1), with assists by David Beauregard (3) and Aaron Brand (6). The Mechanics then went on to score three unanswered goals giving them a 3-1 lead mid-way through the second period. Port Huron responded with an unassisted goal by Malcolm MacMillan (3), cutting the lead to 3-2. Motor City then went on to score three more unanswered goals giving them a 6-2 win.
Upcoming Games: Week Four
The Beacons stay home next week and will play two games at McMorran Arena.
- 11/5: Eastern Conference Final Rematch
Against Elmira Jackals, face-off is set for 7:05 p.m.
This is the first meeting since last May when the Jackals beat the Beacons in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. There have been many changes to both rosters since that last meeting and is sure to be another great battle.
- 11/6: Motor City Mechanics Rematch
Against Motor City Mechanics, face-off is set for 7:05 p.m.
After losing their first meeting on Halloween, the Beacons look to avenge that loss on Saturday. It was their first meeting with the new franchise located in Fraser, Michigan. Both teams sit in the Central Division and are fighting for position in the highly contested division.

The Beacons nominate Daniel Berthiaume as the Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Month, for the month of October. Berthiaume finished the month with a 0-3-1 record in 239:43 minutes played. Berthiaume made 133 saves on 149 shots with a .893 SV% and a 4.00 GAA.

Join Beacons play-by-play announcer, Dennis Stuckey along with Head Coach, Rick Adduono for in depth analysis of the weekends action and questions from fans of all ages. Select Beacon players will also be appearing throughout the season. Of course if you cannot make it down to the Brass Rail you can always tune into AM 1450 and AM 1590, also your home for hockey action all year long both home and away.
