Beach Has Two Goals And Assist, Spokane Wins 4-2

Kyle Beach had two goals and an assist leading the Spokane Chiefs to a 4-2 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday night in front of 8,713 in the Spokane Arena and a regional television audience on FSN Northwest.

Spokane went up 2-0 in the first 5:21 with goals by Beach and Anthony Bardaro, his third of the season. Beach took a rebound of a Mitch Wahl shot from the backboards and roofed it past Calvin Pickard at 3:51 for his 31st of the year. Bardaro=1As goal came as he spun off the board towards the net and waited out Pickard and slid it in to stake the Chiefs to a 2-0 lead. Ryan Letts and Brady Brassart assisted on the goal.

Seattle=1As first goal came from former Chief Burke Gallimore who scored at 17:08 to cut the lead in half.

Beach then tallied his 32nd of the season as he brought the puck in over the blue line on a rush and wristed it stick side for the eventual game winner. Stefan Ulmer had the lone assist.

Seattle pulled back within one at 7:44 of the third on a Prab Rai goal with the Thunderbirds skating on a five-on-three advantage.

Levko Koper iced the game with an empty netter for Spokane with just four seconds remaining.

Spokane outshot Seattle 41-29 and each team finished 0-3 on the power play. James Reid made 27 saves and was named the game=1As second star.
