Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators were held in check Tuesday night and lost to the Bowie Baysox 3-2 at Prince George's Stadium. The loss was the Senators fourth straight on the road after opening the trip with three straight wins. Bowie scored the winning run in the fifth inning, breaking a 2-2 tie. The final ten batters the Sens sent to the plate were retired.
The Big Play
With two outs and a runner at second in the fifth inning, Coby Mayo doubled into the right center field alley to score Tim Susnara with the winning run.
On Capitol Hill
Michael Cuevas started and went the first five innings. He allowed two earned runs and six hits.
Malvin Pena tossed a scoreless inning.
Evan Lee went 1.1 innings and struck out a batter.
Reid Schaller went the final two-thirds of an inning.
With the Gavel
Harrisburg had just four hits in the game. Donovan Casey drove in a run with a single. Brady Lindsly had two hits and Leonel Valera had the other hit.
Filibusters
After scoring seven or more runs in six straight games, the Senators have tallied just six over the past three contests... Leonel Valera singled in the second to extend his hitting streak to 12 games.
