March 20, 2010 - NBA G League (G League)
Erie BayHawks News Release
Erie, Pennsylvania, Friday, March 20 - The Erie BayHawks have reacquired guard Cedric Jackson after he spent the last 10 days on a NBA call-up with the San Antonio Spurs. He'll be joined in tonight's lineup by Cleveland Cavaliers forward Darnell Jackson who was assigned to Erie today.
Cedric Jackson, a rookie from Cleveland State, has had three separate 10-day call-ups this season, including two consecutive deals with the Cavaliers in February. He was averaging 15.8 points and 7.4 assists in 30 games with the BayHawks prior to his most recent call-up.
Darnell Jackson is making his second trip to Erie this season after he scored a game-high 34 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a 114-108 win over the Dakota Wizards on February 25. He was recalled the next day after Shaquille O'Neal injured his thumb against the Boston Celtics.
"A big night just got bigger!" said BayHawks team president Matt Bresee. "Tonight's game was already a huge night with the national TV broadcast on the Versus Network, the Toronto Raptors dance team and mascot here, and free t-shirts for the first 1,000 fans. But the addition of Cedric and Darnell will make this an extra special night for Erie fans!"
The BayHawks play the Dakota Wizards tonight at the Tullio Arena at 7 pm. It's Toronto Raptors Affiliate night and "We Love Erie Day" with the first 1,000 fans receiving a free BayHawks/ Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation t-shirt.
Saturday's game will also be aired nationally on the Versus Network on tape-delay at 11:30 pm ET. Versus can be found in the Erie area on the following cable providers: Time Warner Erie (city and county) and Corry, channel 323 (digital basic pkg); Time Warner Franklin, channel 150 (digital basic); Dish Network channel 151; DirecTV channel 603.
Tickets still remain for Saturday's game and can be purchased by calling 452-4857 or at ticketmaster.com.
