LOUISVILLE,Ky.- The Louisville Bats had their six game winning streak snapped on Saturday night with a 3-1 loss to the Durham Bulls. The Bulls got their three runs off of two home runs.

Right hander Tim Melville (0-1,6.00) suffered the loss for the Bats, while Durham right hander Jamie Schultz (3-1, 3.00) earned the win.

Right hander A.J. Morris started the game and pitched three scoreless innings, allowing two hits, one walk, while striking out one.

In the sixth inning, a two run home run by Durham third baseman Taylor Motter gave the Bulls a 2-0 lead .

Louisville got three straight singles by center fielder Hernan Iribarren, shortstop Jose Peraza, and designated hitter Jessie Winker in the seventh inning. All that added up to a run for the Bats ,making the score 2-1 in favor of Durham.

The Bulls got another home run in the ninth inning as an insurance run, putting their lead back to two runs at 3-1.

The Bats will look to split the series with the Bulls tomorrow afternoon at 2:05 p.m. Louisville will send left hander Cody Reed (1-0, 2.79) to the mound, while Durham will counter with right hander Austin Pruitt (2-1,3.57).
