Barons to Begin Final Regular Season Homestand of the Season

Birmingham, AL - The Birmingham Barons return to Regions Field on Thursday, August 29th to begin their final 2013 regular season homestand with five games against the Montgomery Biscuits, Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.

This five-game homestand will feature Fan Appreciation promotions as a 'Thank You' to the greater Birmingham community for the tremendous support during the inaugural season at Regions Field. On the season, the Barons lead the Southern League in total attendance (372,655) and average attendance (5,733) while recording the second-highest single-season attendance ever for the team in the modern era since 1964.

The series begins on Thursday with Thirsty Thursday presented by Miller Lite and Woodbridge where fans can enjoy 16 oz. beverages for just $2!

The Holiday weekend kicks off on Friday with a post-game fireworks show presented by Coca-Cola, Alabama Power and Glowble Lighting. On Saturday, the SweetRight Brothers will provide entertainment for fans throughout the game in an appearance presented by Red Diamond and Barber's. The Barons will also give away a grill courtesy of All-South Appliance during Saturday's game.

On Sunday, the Barons honor America's armed servicemen and women during Armed Forces Sunday presented by DRASH. The home slate concludes on Labor Day with an appearance by the Bama Airdogs on Fan Appreciation Day. Monday's all season long are YP days presented by YP.

The Barons are returning to the playoffs as First Half North Division Champions. The Playoffs begin Thursday, September 5th at Regions field.
